Summer 2017 Books: Kids Edition
As many of you guys already know, I am a mother to a wonderful little boy! And as I struggle to simplify our lives through less television and video games, I had to find some good book series to keep him busy. So today, I’m sharing the top 5 book series that we’ve read and absolutely love this month.
The #1 bestselling chapter book series of all time. Meet Jack and Annie! Jack and his younger sister, Annie, are just regular kids. But when they discover a tree house in the woods, something magical happens. Jack and Annie are whisked back in time to the Age of Dinosaurs, a medieval castle, ancient pyramids, and treasure-seeking pirates. Every visit to the magic tree house leads to adventure!
Books in this set include: Dinosaurs Before Dark (#1), The Knight at Dawn (#2), Mummies in the Morning (#3), and Pirates Past Noon (#4).
This Magic Tree House set including the following titles:
Night of the Ninjas (Magic Tree House, No. 5)
Afternoon on the Amazon (Magic Tree House, No. 6)
Sunset of the Sabertooth (Magic Tree House, No. 7)

The first four books in the bestselling Diary of a Wimpy Kid series are now available together in a collectible boxed set. Included are Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Rodrick Rules, The Last Straw, and Dog Days in a specially designed package.
Meet Ivy and Bean, two friends who never meant to like each other. This boxed set is a delightful introduction to these spunky characters. It includes the first three books in the Ivy and Bean series
In Bad Kitty Gets a Bath, Kitty has to, well . . . take a bath. But she absolutely, positively doesn’t want to! Young readers will be cracking up at the antics that ensue, and at the lively line art of frantic, bad Bad Kitty as she desperately, at times crazily, tries NOT to take a bath.
In Happy Birthday, Bad Kitty, Bad Kitty is back again and badder than ever. But it’s party time now, and a new cast of kitties is coming over to celebrate in her second illustrated novel for young readers.
And lastly, in Bad Kitty vs Uncle Murray, Bad Kitty’s antics continue as she prepares for a battle royale when Uncle Murray steps into the role of petsitter.
